DAY 1 – FROM MOUSTIERS-SAINTE-MARIE TO VENASCLE
You start your journey at 2 pm with an easy day. You will first discover one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France: Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Then you start the hike by heading up to Venascle, located at 950 m. You’ll spend the night in a Provencal farmhouse located on a small arid plateau in the wild.

DAY 2 – THE OURBES RIDGE, PLEIN VOIR PASS & SAINT-MAURIN WILDLIFE PARK
Get ready for an incredible day of hiking to the Ourbes ridge and enjoy a breathtaking panorama over the Sainte-croix Lake, the Provence and the Alps. You first walk down to a small dry canyon that flows into a stream that you can cross by foot. Then, you enjoy a picnic at the highest point of your trip : Plein Voir pass. After lunch, you go down via the Regional Wildlife Park of Saint-Maurin, which is an amazing place renowned for its many caves and waterfalls. There, a shuttle takes you to La Maline (890m) where you spend the night.

DAY 3 – THE IMBUT TRAIL
You follow one of the most beautiful hiking trails of the region: the Imbut. In the heart of rocks and woods, in a humid and shady atmosphere, you walk along the Verdon until you reach the secret beach of Baou Beni. After lunch, you hike back to the La Maline to spend another night.
Distance: 12 km maximum (the hike can be shortened according to group fitness level)

DAY 4 – THE BLANC-MARTEL TRAIL
The Blanc-Martel, on of the most famous trails of the Gorges du Verdon, get its name from two historic explorers of Europe’s largest canyon: Alfred-Edouard Martel and Isidore Blanc. From La Maline, you walk down to the bottom of the Gorges until you reach the river. In the middle of a spectacular geological setting and a river of stunning colour, you explore the wonderful beach of La Mescla. Then, you take the dizzying stairs of the Imbert rift and cross two dark tunnels before heading up to Point Sublime (785 m) renowed for its breath taking viewpoint. You spend the night there.

DAY 5 – TUSSET BRIDGE, RANCOUMAS VIEWPOINT & TRIGANCE
To end your trip with style, you hike down until the amazing Tusset Bridge. Once you have crossed the Verdon, you walk up to one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Grand Canyon: Rancoumas. There you have the chance to watch vultures! You hike up to the pretty hamlet of Entreverges then go down to the small typical village of Trigance. Here you can have a drink with your group to conclude your stay with friendliness before leaving by taxi.

What type of accommodation do you need for your trek through the Verdon Gorges?
We organise accommodation for you in a lodge, chalet or hostel located in the heart of nature near the Verdon.
What if I’d like a private room?
When you register, you ask us for a private room for your family or friends. In this case, you will not share the accommodation and will have your own space whenever possible. There is an additional charge for this option.
What about the meals during your trek?
The lodges, and hostels offer a half-board option, which means that breakfast and dinner are included. You can start your day with a delicious breakfast prepared for you, and finish it with a nice dinner. Picnics are also included in the price of your stay.
Do I need a car for this tour?
You do not need a car for this tour. Meeting point on day 1 can be reached by bus or taxi. If you have a car, we will indicate a place where you may park it during the tour in the village of Moustiers Sainte-Marie.
How do I register?
You can register online by paying a deposit of 30% of the total cost of your stay. Our teams will send you a payment link for the balance on D-15.
Extra night on departure and/or on arrival in Moustiers Sainte-Marie ?
You choose this option when you make your booking at time of paying the deposit. We will contact you to offer you the best deal according to your budget and the season.
What are the safety conditions for this holiday?
When you register, you must confirm your age, fitness and sport level. The Verdon Voyages team will be reachable to assist you if necessary.
What to do in the event of bad weather conditions?
The activities you are going to undertake depend on the weather risks. Verdon Voyages or your guide may therefore decide to cancel or modify part of the activity. Such cancellations are rare. In this case, we will propose an alternative route depending on the weather conditions.
Will there be network during the trek?
The accommodations on your itinerary have Wi-Fi. Your roadbook will give you information on the network available at the various stages. This service is not under our control and may be unpredictable in mountainous areas. We can therefore not guarantee it.
What are the cancellation conditions?
Before D-60: a handling fee of 50 euros will be deducted.
Between D-60 and D-8: the deposit paid at the time of booking will be retained.
After D-7: no refund will be made in the event of cancellation.
We therefore encourage you to plan your trip carefully and take all the necessary precautions to avoid any unforeseen cancellations.
