The lake of Sainte-Croix is located between the departments of Var and Alpes de Haute Provence in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Verdon. The lake of Sainte-Croix is an artificial lake fed by the river Verdon and that it has a surface of 22 km2. The lake is born by passing under the bridge of Galetas which also marks the limit of the departments previously named. Created in 1973, following the construction of the 11km long Sainte Croix dam, it contains about 760 million cubic meters of water. Moreover, the lake is the biggest of the Verdon.
What to do in the lake of Sainte-Croix?
