ADDITIONNAL INFORMATION
Get ready for an unforgettable day in the heart of the Gorges du Verdon, where every step you take will bring you a little closer to the wild beauty of this unique place.
DAY 1 – FROM VALX DOMAIN TO LA GRAU (800m)
Start your adventure with a picturesque climb to the Verdon Grand Canyon Ridge, an unforgettable experience in the heart of Europe’s deepest canyon. Marvel at the spectacular panoramas that await you at every step. In the evening, a pleasant surprise awaits you at the farm campsite. Our dedicated guide will do his utmost to treat you to a delicious barbecue, including vegetarian and vegan options for those who wish (please inform us ahead if you have specific dietary requirement). Make the most of this convivial moment to chat with the other participants and share your experiences.
DAY 2 – FROM LA GRAU TO LA GRANDE FORÊT (1050m)
On this exciting tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Bastidon trail and the famous Ridges Road to the charming chalet of La Maline, where you’ll take a well-earned break for lunch. As you continue your journey, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views from the balcony lookouts overlooking the spectacular landscape. You’ll also have the chance to descend to the bottom of the gorge and cross the famous Estellier footbridge to change banks. This day’s adventure will take you over a distance of 17 km, with positive gradients of +600 m and negative gradients of -500 m. You’ll need to be in good physical condition to get the most out of this experience, but the breathtaking scenery and moments of contemplation are well worth it.
DAY 3 – FROM THE GREAT FOREST TO THE GREAT MARGES (1435m)
You descend into the Verdon to take the Imbut trail, the most beautiful part of the trek. Once you’ve climbed out of the Imbut via the Vidal ascent, you’ll head for the Grand Margès to spend the night in the middle of nowhere, with the added bonus of a sunset between Provence and the Alps.
DAY 4 – FROM GRAND MARGES TO LAC DE SAINTE-CROIX (475m)
End your sporting holiday in style with the ultimate downhill day. You can relax gently with a refreshing dip in the magnificent Sainte-Croix Lake. You’ll then be shuttled back to the starting point. This day offers you a 10 km descent, with a negative altitude difference of -1000 metres. You’ll be carried along by the water, amazed by the breathtaking scenery. Let the waters carry you along as you admire the imposing cliffs that line your path.
