DAY 1 – ARRIVAL

When you arrive at your lodge, take a moment to drop off your luggage and make yourself comfortable. Then take the opportunity to explore the area and immerse yourself in the natural landscape that surrounds you. In the evening, treat yourself with a delicious dinner and load yourself with energy for the coming adventures.

DAY 2 –  ELECTRIC BOAT

As you make your way through the Basses Gorges, the scenery is sure to take your breath away. Along the way, you’ll discover many remarkable sites and breathtaking views over this nature reserve. Cliffs, turquoise streams, fauna, flora and caves all combine to dazzle you. Take advantage of this ride on an electric boat to relax and sail off to explore the secrets of these wild lands.

DAY 3 – CANYONING or AQUA HIKE (WITH GUIDE)

Take part in an exciting aqua ride through a wild canyon, wearing wetsuits and helmets. Walk, jump (optional) and swim to the rhythm of this thrilling adventure. You’ll be accompanied by a state-certified guide who will look after your safety and help you discover the wonders of this unique natural environment. For those who choose canyoning, you’ll also experience abseiling.

DAY 4 – E-SCOOTER (WITH GUIDE)

Equipped with off-road electric scooter*, follow the guide and enjoy our splendid Provencal setting and exceptional panoramas! Depending on the trail we’ll take you to discover the famous lavender fields near the Valensole plateau or you’ll ride along part of the Lac de Sainte-Croix. It’s a great opportunity to discover many different spots, beaches and wild creeks, while immersing yourself in the heart of pine and truffle oak forests. Known for its splendid landscapes, lakes and the Gorges du Verdon, Provence is also rich in history, with a rich and ancient heritage.

DAY 5 – PACKRAFTING (WITH GUIDE)

Let yourself be surprised by packrafting: an activity combining hiking and expedition canoeing. During this activity, you’ll have the chance to discover secret enchanting areas.  Get ready for some unforgettable moments in the Gorges du Verdon. Packraft consist of hiking a mountain trail and canoeing through the heart of the Gorges in a two-seater packraft. Please note that each duo will need to carry 1 packraft bag weighing 8kg.

DAY 6 – SKY WATCHING WITH GUIDE

Observe the sky surrounded by passionate people at the Bauduen astronomical observatory center. This exceptional evening will transport you beyond the limits of our galaxy. You’ll plunge into a fascinating world, exploring celestial wonders. Prepare to be dazzled by the beauty and grandeur of the universe, to observe rare celestial phenomena and to experience moments of contemplation.

DAY 7– RELAX AND ENJOY PROVENCE

If you wish, take the day to explore the surrounding area, including the charming village of Moustiers-Ste-Marie, known for its beauty and picturesque character. Soak up the local atmosphere, visit its sightseeing spots and discover its hidden treasures.

DAY 8– DEPARTURE

What level of experience do I need to have to river ride the Gorges du Verdon?

Never go off on your own: a professional guide is essential for the upper and middle Verdon. In all cases, we’ll take care of the equipment and logistics for your expedition. This is a ‘Moderate’ difficulty trip, which means you need to be a bit sporty to be able to string together activities over several days. Read our descriptions carefully and call us if you have any questions.

Which swimming skills and physical shape is necessary?

Being able to swim is mandatory (at least 25 meters and being able to put your head under water). To participate to this trip, you need to be in good physical shape, but no canoeing skills are required.

Where to stay?

Your accommodation is located in a campsite near the villlage of Bauduen. This holiday is scheduled for specific dates, and you can book according to availability. We will provide you with premium mobile-homes/cottages, in an exceptional natural setting close to the Gorges du Verdon. Enjoy your stay peacefully in these private accommodations. Sheets, blankets and towels are provided.

Meals during your stay?

In your accommodation, you’ll have a fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare your meals in total comfort. This gives you the freedom to shop and choose the restaurants that suit your preferences. Take the opportunity to explore the culinary delights of the region according to your own choices and gastronomic discoveries

How do I register?

You can register online by paying a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the holiday. Our teams will send you a payment link for the balance on D-15.

What are the safety conditions for this holiday?

When you register, you must confirm your age, fitness and level of sporting ability.
Your guide may consider that you obviously do not have the necessary level to carry out the activity. Your guides and Verdon Voyages will provide all the safety equipment and materials needed for the descent. The activities are supervised by a state-certified guide. Only the canoeing day in the Gorges du Verdon is self-guided.

What to do in the event of bad weather or poor conditions?

The activities you are about to undertake depend on the flow of water in the Verdon and the risk of bad weather. Verdon Voyages or your guide may therefore decide to cancel or modify part of the activity. Such cancellations are rare. Similarly, unforeseen violent winds may lead the guide to cancel the activity for safety reasons.
In this case, we will propose a replacement activity depending on the weather or water flow conditions. However, if no replacement activity is possible, we will compensate you with part of the price of the holiday.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Before D-60: a handling fee of 50 euros will be deducted.
Between D-60 and D-8: the deposit paid at the time of booking will be retained.
After D-7: no refund will be made in the event of cancellation.
We therefore encourage you to plan your stay carefully and take all the necessary precautions to avoid any unforeseen cancellations.
