DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
You are expected to arrive at the campsite from 5pm on. However, we understand that you want to make the most of your first day in the Gorges du Verdon. We therefore offer you the possibility t collect your equipment earlier, so that you can start exploring and naviguating from the morning if you wish to. This option will allow you to maximise your time on the water and make the most of your first day on the water. Enjoy the magnificent scenery, stop for a picnic on the banks of the Verdon, and soak up the unique atmosphere of the region.
DAY 2 – SUGGESTIONS
Gorges de Baudinard
Discover the lower Baudinard Gorges, a true natural gem. On this day, you’ll explore the secret gorges, as well as the lakes of Cadenon, Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon and Artignosc. Get ready for an unforgettable experience in the heart of breathtaking scenery. You’ll marvel at the beauty of the secret gorges, with surprises in store at every turn. Afterwards, you’ll have the chance to sail on the calm, crystal-clear waters of Lake Cadenon, where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding serenity.
Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon
The lake at Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon is another must-see stop on your day out. With its sparkling blue waters, this lake offers the perfect setting for a picnic break and a refreshing swim.
Artignosc Lake
Finally, you can explore Lac d’Artignosc, which will charm you with its tranquillity and unspoilt beauty. Take advantage of this last stop to soak up the peaceful atmosphere and contemplate the natural landscapes that surround you.
DAY 3 – DEPARTURE
Before heading to the water, please make sure you check-out on time and leave your accommodation. Take advantage of your last day to explore the magnificent landscapes of Sainte-Croix Lake and the Grand Canyon aboard canoe or paddle boarding. Make the most of this unique experience to admire the breathtaking panoramas, swim in the clear waters of the lake and soak up the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Please note that you will need to return the equipment to our office in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie before closing time. So make sure you plan your day accordingly so you can enjoy every moment right up to the last minute.
Which swimming skills and physical shape is necessary?
Being able to swim is mandatory. To participate to this trip, you need to be in good physical shape, but no canoeing skills are required.
Where to stay?
Your accommodation is located in a campsite near the villlage of Moustiers-Ste-Marie. This tour is scheduled for specific dates, and you can book according to availability. We will provide you with comfortable mobile homes or cottages, in an exceptional natural setting close to the Gorges du Verdon. Enjoy your stay peacefully in these private accommodations. Sheets, blankets and towels are provided.
Meals during your stay?
In your accommodation, you’ll have a fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare your meals in total comfort. This gives you the freedom to shop and choose the restaurants that suit your preferences. Take the opportunity to explore the culinary delights of the region according to your own choices and gastronomic discoveries
How do I register?
You can register online by paying a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the holiday. Our teams will send you a payment link for the balance on D-15.
What are the safety conditions for this holiday?
When you register, you must confirm your age, fitness and level of sporting ability.
Your guide may consider that you obviously do not have the necessary level to carry out the activity. Your guides and Verdon Voyages will provide all the safety equipment and materials needed for the activities.
What to do in the event of bad weather or poor conditions?
The activities you are about to undertake depend on the flow of water in the Verdon and the risk of bad weather. Verdon Voyages or your guide may therefore decide to cancel or modify part of the activity. Such cancellations are rare. Similarly, unforeseen violent winds may lead the guide to cancel the activity for safety reasons.
In this case, we will propose a replacement activity depending on the weather or water flow conditions. However, if no replacement activity is possible, we will compensate you with part of the price of the holiday.
What are the cancellation conditions?
Before D-60: a handling fee of 50 euros will be deducted.
Between D-60 and D-8: the deposit paid at the time of booking will be retained.
After D-7: no refund will be made in the event of cancellation.
We therefore encourage you to plan your stay carefully and take all the necessary precautions to avoid any unforeseen cancellations.
